Andreas Herweg

Andreas Herweg has a strong background in research and engineering, primarily focused on sound perception and assessment. Andreas currently holds the position of Head of Research at HEAD acoustics GmbH, where they oversee various projects and teams. Before that, they served as the Head of Sound Perception & Assessment at the same company. Prior to joining HEAD acoustics GmbH, Andreas worked as a Research Engineer in the fields of sound perception and assessment, as well as NVH research. Additionally, they have extensive experience as a Scientific Collaborator in various EU projects, including Backhome, Contrast, and TOBI.

Andreas Herweg completed their education with a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in general Biology from the University of Düsseldorf in 2010. Andreas then pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in general Biology from the same university, completing it in 2012. Afterward, they attended the Julius Maximilians University of Würzburg from 2013 to 2016, where they obtained their Doctor of Natural Sciences (Dr. rer. nat.) degree in the Graduate School of Life Science - Section Neuroscience.
