Riina Tolonen

Riina Tolonen is a seasoned localization professional with extensive experience in managing localization programs and teams. Currently serving as a Senior Manager - Localization at Headout since June 2022, Riina leads efforts across multiple languages and markets, focusing on growth opportunities, localization workflows, and international launches in collaboration with content and marketing teams. Prior to this role, Riina held various positions at Apple from December 2019 to June 2022, culminating as a Senior Localization Program Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing localized documentation in 40 European languages and leading QA efforts. Earlier career experiences at LocalEyes Ltd. and LocalEyes Suomi Oy involved QA testing and project management. Riina holds a Master of Arts in English Language and Literature with a focus on Translation Studies from the University of Helsinki and has an educational background from The University of Sheffield.
