Isabel Nelson

Isabel Nelson is a Trainee Counselling Psychologist with extensive experience in supporting individuals with mental health challenges. Currently involved with Achieving for Children and Headstrong Counselling, Isabel previously served as an Outreach Support Worker at The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, aiding children with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties. Isabel has also contributed to the Early Intervention in Psychosis Service at Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, primarily utilizing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy while integrating other therapeutic approaches. Early experiences include a role as a Mental Health Activity Support Worker in Sri Lanka and several trainee positions across various counseling services. Isabel holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology from City, University of London, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Warwick.
