Laura Michelle Burtle

Laura Michelle Burtle is an experienced Speech and Language Therapist currently employed at Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust since September 2014. In addition to this role, Laura has actively contributed to Headway - the brain injury association as a Secretary on the Management Committee and as a member of the Volunteer & Fundraising Committee since June 2011. Laura is also involved with Independent Advocacy North East as an Executive Committee Link, focusing on advocating for clients and ensuring their voices are heard. Previous positions include working as a Speech and Language Therapy Assistant at Newcastle Upon Tyne NHS Foundation Trust and a Communication Support Worker for The Stroke Association. Laura holds a Master’s degree in Language Pathology from Newcastle University and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Linguistics from The University of Sheffield.
