David Henry

David Henry is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in both public sector and media roles. Currently serving as Deputy Director of Communications at the Health and Safety Executive since June 2022, David leads the communications team encompassing media relations, stakeholder engagement, and digital platforms. Previously, David held the position of Head of News and Social Media within the same organization after an interim role as Acting Deputy Director of Communications. A former Head of Communications for BBC England and BBC Radio 5 Live, David's career also includes roles as Communications Manager at BBC, Senior Media Officer at Wigan Council, Feature Writer and Broadcast Journalist at MEN Media, and Reporter at MEN Media. David holds a BA Hons in History and Politics from the University of Hull.
