Edna Matta-Camacho Msc

Edna Matta-Camacho MSc, PhD, mMBA is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical sector and education. Currently serving as a Senior Assessment Officer at Health Canada's Pharmaceutical Drugs Directorate, Edna specializes in the critical analysis of scientific data to assess pharmaceutical products, while also coordinating health initiatives as Branch Coordinator within the Health Products and Food Branch. As the Founder and President of the Fundación STEM sin Fronteras Foundation, Edna advances equity in STEM education for underserved communities in Latin America. Edna co-founded the Network of Colombian Scientists and Researchers in Canada and serves as a board member for PIPSC IPFPC. With a strong academic background including a PhD in Biochemistry-Chemical Biology from McGill University and an mMBA from Carleton University, Edna's expertise spans pharmacokinetics, toxicology, and the development of strategies in science and policy.
