Jason MacLaurin

Jason MacLaurin currently serves as the President of the Union of Health and Environment Workers (UHEW) Local 70008, where responsibilities include representing PSAC-UHEW members, mentoring stewards, and coordinating grievances. Prior to this role, Jason has held positions at Health Canada, where expertise as a Laboratory Support Supervisor has focused on technical operations and quality management within the Vaccine Quality Division, further contributing as a Senior Analyst evaluating vaccine safety and efficacy. Previous experience includes a long tenure at the University of Ottawa as Laboratory Manager, supervising staff and developing compliance regulations, and earlier as a Research Assistant, engaging in advanced molecular biology research and techniques. Jason's career began as a Technologist at Algonquin College, supporting laboratory activities and student experiments.
