Krista Burns, MScCH, RD, serves as a Senior Policy Analyst and Senior Advisor at Health Canada, where Leadership in developing initiatives to enhance the food environment across Canada includes management of issues leading up to the launch of Canada's Food Guide. Prior experience includes a role as a Sessional Instructor at the University of Toronto, instructing Master's level students on nutrition strategies, and various positions within the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, where Krista researched and analyzed policies related to mental health promotion and led the Healthy Kids Strategy. With additional experience in chronic disease prevention coordination, dietetics, and health education across multiple organizations, Krista's academic background includes a Master of Science in Community Health and several relevant certifications in nutrition and health promotion.
