Melissa Tate

Melissa Tate has extensive work experience in the healthcare and counseling fields. Melissa currently holds the position of Vice President of Quality at Health Connect America, a role they have held since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Senior Director of Quality from January 2022 to December 2022 and as the Director of PQI and Accreditation from January 2015 to January 2022.

Before joining Health Connect America, Melissa worked at Counseling Interventions, Inc. where they held various roles including Director of Clinical Operations and Director of Licensing Compliance and Staff Development from May 2013 to December 2014. Melissa also served as the Director of Mental Health Support Services and Intake Coordinator from January 2010 to May 2013, and as a Direct Care Professional and Intake Coordinator from June 2008 to January 2010.

Melissa began their career at ChildHelp, Inc. where they worked as a Special Education Teacher from June 2003 to June 2008. Prior to this, they served as a Special Education Instructional Assistant from June 2002 to June 2003, and as a Direct Care Professional from June 2001 to May 2003.

Melissa Tate received their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Psychology and Human Services from James Madison University in the years 1999-2002. Melissa later pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Human Services, General at Capella University from 2010-2012. Additionally, in 2003-2004, they obtained a Special Education Provisional License with endorsements in ED, MR, and LD from Old Dominion University. Prior to attending James Madison University, Melissa attended Piedmont Virginia Community College from 1997-1999.
