Kai-Ping Wang

Kai-ping Wang is an experienced medical professional specializing in pediatric behavioral health, currently serving as the AVP and Medical Director at Healthfirst since December 2021. In this role, Kai-ping provides clinical leadership for behavioral health programs and supports policy development to enhance member health outcomes and quality measures. Previously, Kai-ping held positions such as Chief Medical Officer at High Focus Centers, overseeing the treatment of mental health and substance use disorders, and Medical Director of Pediatric Psychiatry at Valley Health System, where initiatives included developing outpatient programs and optimizing workflows. With extensive experience in psychiatric evaluations and treatment across various settings, including intensive outpatient programs and partial hospitalization, Kai-ping has also contributed to professional organizations and education within the field of psychiatry. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and a Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship from the NYU Child Study Center.
