Manuel Perez-Alonso

Manuel Perez-Alonso, PhD, is a full professor at Universitat de València since January 1996, where Manuel also serves as President of a network of science entrepreneurs and leads the postgraduate program in Medical Genetics. As a prominent figure in the field of Medical Genetics, Genomics, and Developmental Biology, Manuel founded the Instituto de Medicina Genomica and serves as the Editor-in-Chief of Genética Médica News. Additionally, Manuel has a history of founding and leading various companies, including Mendel's Brain and Valentia Biopharma, and has held key leadership positions in organizations focused on biotechnology, entrepreneurship, and technology transfer, such as BIOVAL and DNA Alliance. Notably, expertise spans DNA sequencing and biomedical entrepreneurship, complemented by a PhD in Biology and Genetics from the University of Valencia.
