Rwaida Izar, MPH has worked in the health field since 2014. Rwaida began their career as a Hospitalist Project & Comprehensive Care Project Intern at UChicago Medicine. In 2017, they became a Research Coordinator for the All of Us Research Program at Weill Cornell Medicine. In 2018, they held multiple roles including Program Assistant Intern at HealthRight International, Summer Fellow at the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, and Mental Health Initiatives Program Liaison at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. In 2019, they became Lead Project Coordinator and Field Responder at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and Content Manager at Health In Her HUE. In their roles, Rwaida has conducted research investigations, delivered naloxone and harm reduction training, and performed analyses on drug-related topics. Rwaida has also assisted in the development, editing and review of program processes and protocols, enrolled patients, and interviewed patients in the hospital.

Rwaida Izar, MPH obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2014. Rwaida then went on to pursue a Masters of Public Health in Health Policy & Management from New York University, which they completed in 2018.
