Jonathan Freedman

Jonathan Freedman serves as the Vice President at Health Management Associates since June 2016 and holds board member positions at the Insure the Uninsured Project and the WORKER EDUCATION & RESOURCE CENTER, INC., both starting in September 2020 and July 2019, respectively. Freedman is also a faculty member in the Executive Master of Public Health Program at UCLA Fielding School of Public Health since September 2018. Previously, Freedman was Chief of Strategy at L.A. Care Health Plan from October 2012 to May 2016 and Chief Deputy Director at the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health from October 2006 to October 2012. Additional roles include Director of Emergency Preparedness and Response at the Los Angeles County Chief Administrative Office and various leadership positions within the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health. Freedman earned an MSPH in Public Health from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health in 1991 and holds a BA in Political Science from UCLA.
