Kathleen Nolan is an accomplished healthcare policy professional with extensive experience in state and federal health initiatives. Currently serving as Vice President and Managing Principal at Health Management Associates since January 2016, Nolan previously held key leadership roles, including Director of State Policy at the National Association of Medicaid Directors from May 2011 to December 2015, where contributions included guiding Medicaid leaders through the ACA implementation. As Health Division Director at the National Governors Association from June 2004 to May 2011, Nolan led state-focused initiatives during pivotal health policy changes, including the Affordable Care Act. Additional experience includes directing chronic disease prevention projects at the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials and conducting research at the Institute of Medicine. Kathleen Nolan earned a Master of Public Health from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Carleton College.
