Matt Wang

VP, Development at Health Monitoring Systems

Since Matt joined Health Monitoring in 2013, he has managed the technology team with an emphasis on quality and predictability.

He has made a career of developing products for early-stage tech companies in diverse industries including storage systems, telecommunications, high-frequency trading, digital marketing, and public health. Many of these businesses were later acquired by brand-name corporations such as IBM, Subex, Goldman Sachs, and Thomson Reuters.

Matt’s decades of experience have equipped him to excel in software development and management positions. In these capacities, he has led the architecture of platforms, built new teams, overseen large in-production systems, and continually optimized processes to ensure high productivity and consistent delivery. Matt believes that software development is inherently an artistic endeavor rooted in deep thinking; he sees himself as a student trying to administer just the right dose of engineering discipline to bring out the collective creativity in his team.

Matt holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from National Taiwan University and a master’s degree in software engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. In his spare time, he enjoys practicing taekwondo and fishing.
