Erika Sockaci has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and organizations. Erika began their career at the University of Pittsburgh as a Graduate Student Assistant, where they coordinated recruitment telemarketing and managed a large team. Erika then moved on to Ambulatory Innovations Inc. as a Consultant for a year.
In 2001, they joined AltaMed Health Services, where they held several leadership positions including Assistant Vice President, Clinic Administrator, and Vice President of Health Services. In these roles, they oversaw various programs and departments, including HIV/AIDS treatment, pharmacy, behavioral health, chronic disease management, and business development. Erika also played a key role in the development of a joint Medical and Dental facility.
In 2018, they served as a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County Workforce Development Board, providing policy and oversight for workforce development initiatives in the county.
From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Business Development Consultant at COPE Health Solutions, focusing on growing and expanding their health scholars programs.
Most recently, they joined Health Net as the Vice President of Provider Engagement in 2020.
Throughout their career, Erika Sockaci has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities, and extensive experience in the healthcare industry.
Erika Sockaci completed their education at various institutions. From 1999 to 2001, they attended the University of Pittsburgh Katz Graduate School of Business and obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management. During the same time period, they also studied at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health and earned a Master of Health Administration (MHA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Pittsburgh from 1995 to 1999, obtaining a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology. In 2009 to 2010, they joined the Clinic Leadership Institute Emerging Leaders Program at the University of California, San Francisco's Healthforce Center. In addition to their formal education, Erika has obtained several certifications, including being a Certified Change Management Practitioner from Prosci in 2017, completing the Strategic Workforce Planning course from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in 2016, and acquiring the CAPE Examiner certification from the California Council for Excellence in 2012.
