Michael Field serves as the National Manager Health and Safety Delivery at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora since November 2023, overseeing health and safety for all sites across the country. Previous experience includes roles such as the Interim National Manager Health and Safety Delivery at Waitemata District Health Board and Group Manager of Occupational Health & Safety Service, managing a workforce of over 8,500. Throughout a diverse career, Michael has held various leadership positions focused on sustainability and corporate responsibility, including Sustainable Development Manager roles at the Bank of New Zealand and North Shore City Council, and contributions as a Corporate Sustainability Consultant at URS New Zealand. Additional governance experience was gained as Vice-Chair of the Board at Environmental Choice New Zealand. Michael holds a strong background in developing sustainability strategies, engaging stakeholders, and improving organizational efficiency across multiple sectors.
