Mahader Tamene is an accomplished scholar and public health professional with extensive experience in health policy and research. Currently serving as a Scholar in the Health Policy Research Scholars program since September 2020 and as a Fellow in the Computational Social Science Training Program at the University of California, Berkeley, Mahader has a strong foundation in data analytics and social epidemiology. Prior roles include Senior Project Manager at Boston Medical Center, managing a significant children's behavioral health initiative, and Program Manager at Harvard University, overseeing interdisciplinary research projects. Mahader's educational background includes a PhD in Epidemiology from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's in Global Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and a Bachelor's in Public Policy Studies from the University of Chicago.
