Shah Kibria

Shah Kibria has extensive work experience in finance and administration roles. From 1997 to 2004, they served as the Controller of Finance at Red Barnet, where they monitored proper bookkeeping, prepared budget reports, and analyzed actual costs. From 2004 to 2006, they were the Director of Finance & Administration at Bangladesh National Woman Lawyers Association, where they maintained financial books, produced reports for donors, and liaised with donors for any requirements. In 2007, they worked as a Senior Accountant at Hyde Park Corporation Ltd., managing funds and preparing monthly management accounts. From 2008 to 2008, they served as the Finance and Administration Manager at Excellent Development Limited, overseeing financial management, preparing management reports, and managing funds. At Relief International from 2010 to 2016, Shah Kibria worked as a Global Senior Financial Accountant, managing funds for country offices and reconciling cash balances. From 2016 to present, they have been employed at Health Poverty Action, with roles including Finance Manager - UK Operations and Interim Head of Finance and Administration. In these positions, they are responsible for the overall finance and administration of the organization, including budgeting, presenting management accounts, and coordinating with country offices for audit and financial management support.

Shah Kibria has a diverse educational background spanning various fields and institutions. In 2000 to 2002, they attended ICSB and obtained a Chartered Secretary degree in Corporate Governance. Prior to that, from 1996 to 1997, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance at The London Institute of Technology & Research.

Shah Kibria's academic journey began in 1987 when they enrolled at the University of Dhaka, where they earned a Master's degree in Management. Earlier, from 1983 to 1986, they studied at the University of Chittagong, completing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) with Honours in Accounting and Business/Management.

In 1982 to 1983, Shah Kibria attended the Government College of Commerce, Chittagong, where they received a Higher Secondary Certificate in Business/Commerce, General. Before that, their secondary education took place at Chittagong Collegiate School and College, where they obtained a Secondary School Certificate at the GCSE level.

Furthermore, Shah Kibria holds the certification of Chartered Secretary from the ICSB Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh, although the specific details of when and where they obtained this certification are unknown.
