Fernando Castro-Prado

Fernando Castro-Prado is a junior researcher at CITMAga (Galician Centre for Mathematical Research) since January 2022 and is concurrently a PhD student at Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela since October 2019. In addition, Fernando has been a member of the governing board and teacher of Probability for the ESTALMAT-Galicia project since September 2017. Previous experience includes serving as a visiting scientist at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center from July 2021 to January 2022 and holding various leadership roles at QuinteScience from February 2016 to June 2020. Fernando also contributed as a teacher during the Summer Science Campus organized by the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology in July 2019. Fernando holds a BSc in Mathematics, two MSc degrees (in Statistics and Genomics and Genetics), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics & Genetics at Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
