Ana Estany Gestal, MSc, Pharm PhD, is an experienced epidemiologist currently working at the Fundación Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria de Santiago de Compostela since June 2015, focusing on epidemiological research. The Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela (IDIS) is a translational research, innovation and knowledge transfer centre which leverages and boosts synergies between the University and the Health Care Areas of Santiago de Compostela and Barbanza, and of Lugo, A Mariña and Monforte de Lemos. IDIS was officially certified as a research centre of the Spanish Health System by the Institute of Health Carlos III in March 2010.
