Heidi Klein

Heidi Klein currently serves as the Managing Director for Healthy and Equitable Communities at Health Resources in Action since December 2022. Previously, Klein held key leadership positions at the Vermont Department of Health from December 2012 to August 2022, where responsibilities included directing planning and health care quality initiatives, managing COVID-19 response efforts, and leading health surveillance operations. Klein co-founded the Vermont Public Health Institute and served as President and Board Member of the Vermont Public Health Association. Additional experience includes roles at HK Consulting, the Snelling Center for Government, and as a contractor for the American Public Health Association. Klein holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
