Farzad Kasad

Farzad Kasad is a Senior Labour Relations Officer specializing in Occupational Health and Safety at the Health Sciences Association of BC since March 2023. Prior experience includes serving as the Manager of Occupational Health and Safety at Bouygues Energies & Services Canada from January 2018 to March 2023, where responsibilities included guiding the Executive Team on safety objectives, advising on attendance and disability management policies, and representing the organization with regulatory bodies. Farzad's earlier role as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist involved providing regulatory guidance and trend analysis on workplace injuries. Prior to that, Farzad worked at the BC Liquor Distribution Branch, managing disability inquiries and rehabilitation processes for over 2,500 employees. Farzad holds a Certificate in Environmental and Occupational Health from the University of Victoria and a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Simon Fraser University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from Simon Fraser University.
