Chris Anderson

Founding Scientific Director, Prairieneuro Research Center at Health Sciences Centre

Chris Anderson has an extensive academic and research background in pharmacology and neurodegeneration. Currently serving as the Department Head and Professor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the University of Manitoba since January 2004, Chris Anderson also holds the position of Manitoba Research Chair in Neurodegeneration and has been the Associate Department Head. Additionally, Chris Anderson is the Founding Scientific Director of the PrairieNeuro Research Center at the Health Sciences Centre, where involvement began in September 2012. Previous experience includes serving as Principal Investigator at St. Boniface Hospital and completing a postdoctoral fellowship at UCSF. Chris Anderson earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology from the University of Manitoba and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Biochemistry from Simon Fraser University.
