Caroline Simoes

Caroline Simoes, Chartered FCIPD, currently serves as the Executive Director of People Culture & Communications at Healthcare Management Trust, where responsibilities include strategic leadership in people, culture, learning and development, marketing, and communications for a workforce of over 800. Previous roles include People Director at Virgin Active, overseeing a team of 23 and the complete people function across 42 sites, and Group People & Purpose Manager at Virgin, focusing on inclusion and diversity initiatives. Caroline's extensive experience also includes significant positions within Virgin Active South Africa and Metropolitan Health Group, along with earlier roles in HR management, consultancy, and mediation. Educational qualifications consist of an MPhil in Employment Law, post-graduate diplomas in Advanced Labour Law and Human Resources Management, and a BA in Psychology & English from the University of Cape Town.
