Warren Cooper

Warren Cooper has an extensive work experience spanning over several decades. Warren started their career as a resident in surgery at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1979. Warren then worked as a clinical assistant in cardiology at Northwick Park Hospital until 1987.

In 1980, they joined Merck, where they held various positions, including Director of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research Physician. Warren later became the Senior Director of European Clinical Research Operations and then the Executive Director of Worldwide Clinical Research Operations.

Warren Cooper joined Astra Merck in 1992 and served as the Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Medical Affairs before becoming the Cardiovascular Business Unit Leader. Warren stayed with Astra Merck until 1998.

From 2001 to 2011, they served as a member of the Board of Directors and the Audit Committee Chairman at Nutrition 21, Inc. During this time, they also worked as the CEO and a member of the Board of Directors at Prism Pharmaceuticals. Warren successfully led Prism Pharmaceuticals, developing and gaining FDA approval for NEXTERONE before the company was sold to Baxter Healthcare in 2011.

Afterwards, Warren Cooper served as the Interim CEO and President and a member of the Board of Directors at Nuron Biotech Inc from 2013 to 2014. Warren then joined the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia in 2010, initially as a member of the Board of Directors and later as a member of the Chairman's Advisory Committee.

Warren'smost recent position is the Chief Medical Officer at HealthCare Royalty, which they have held since 2017. Additionally, since 2015, they have been a member of the Board of Directors, the Lead Director, and a member of the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee at Zynerba Pharmaceuticals.

Warren Cooper completed their education in Medicine, Surgery, and Physiology from The London Hospital, U. of London. Warren earned their MB, BS, and BSc degrees from this institution, where they studied from 1971 to 1977.
