Andrea Booth has a diverse and extensive work experience in journalism, editing, and consulting. Andrea began their career as a Journalist and Editor for The Jakarta Post, where they edited various news stories and analyses. Andrea then worked as a Journalist for the United Nations OCHA news agency, covering humanitarian issues in Indonesia. Andrea also freelanced for The Guardian Weekly, focusing on education, the environment, and sustainable development initiatives in Indonesia.

In 2011, Andrea joined CIFOR as a Digital Journalist and later became the Editor of Forests News, managing a team of writers and growing the audience's knowledge about environmental science. Andrea wrote for Thomson Reuters Foundation's AlertNet, covering humanitarian, war, conflict, and forest issues worldwide.

Andrea also held significant positions at SBS Australia, serving as a Senior Editor and Journalist, where they won awards for their journalism. At Kaplan Professional, they led the multimedia team and implemented a strategy that significantly increased engagement.

In 2020, Andrea co-founded PranaTech Pty Ltd, a medical technology company focused on designing innovative healthcare products. Most recently, they joined Healthdirect Australia as a Senior Editorial Lead. Additionally, Andrea established their own consulting business, providing expertise in communications for various clients, including Neuroscience Research Australia and the Sydney Festival.

Andrea Booth has a diverse education history. In 2020, they obtained an MBA Essentials Graduate Certificate from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Prior to that, in 2006-2007, they completed a Master of Arts (MA) in Journalism and Media Law from the University of Technology Sydney. Before pursuing their master's degree, Andrea obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature from UNSW, where they studied from 2003 to 2005. Additionally, they have obtained a certification in "Learn to Lead with UNSW" in 2021.
