Summary: Coaches and mentors Business Systems Analysts (BSAs), evangelizing Agile values and principles across the organization, promotes the collaboration between stakeholders and Product Owners.  Demonstrates expert proficiency in most Underlying Competencies (UCs) of the Business Analysis Body of Knowledge (BABOK V3.0), along with a desire and the potential to grow in each.

Key Responsibilities: “To simplify complexities for each customer.”  

  1. Promote BSA best practices and standards across Healthesystems.  Partners with Manager Scrum Master and Manager Product Owner in the organization-wide Agile adoption strategy and rollout plans.
  2. Evaluate and mentor BSA.  Participate in the hiring and career development of BSAs.  Provide frequent feedback and coaching to employees regarding productivity and performance.
  3. Ensure quality of BSA deliverables, including high-level and detailed business requirements are provided to the business.
  4. Works closely with Product Managers, business stakeholders and delivery teams to quickly and consistently deliver customer value.
  5. Ensures metrics and team measurements are aligned with Agile practices and principles.
  6. Oversees the Community of Practice and ensures group standards and processes are utilized. Partner with Learning & Development on BSA training and education as needed.
  7. Collaborates across all levels of the organization to ensure the BSA team is meeting expectations of the business.
  8. Participates in industry and other professional networks to ensure awareness of industry standards, trends and best practices in order to strengthen organizational and technical knowledge.

 

Leadership/Supervisory Responsibilities:  

Directly supervises 10-15 employees.  Performs supervisory responsibilities by managing and allocating employee resources in accordance with company policies, applicable laws and company initiatives/goals.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning, assigning, and directing work (including scheduling); appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.   Acts as a change agent, and develops a high-performing team in the spirit of exceptional service to all internal and external partners.

Qualifications/Education/Certifications:

Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; plus, at least eight years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 -2 years managing others strongly preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Prefer experience in Healthcare, PBM and/or ABM, workers’ compensation and/or insurance industry.

Proven experience with managing teams in an agile culture, including working with delivery, product, and portfolio level teams.  Must have strong communication skills; including the ability to gather and communicate metrics across the organization.  Experience with Application Development, Agile, Lean, DevOps, Automated Testing and SQL are strongly preferred. 

Excellent listening skills, possess outstanding facilitation and conflict-resolutions skills, and the ability to work in collaborative environments. Requires excellent verbal communication, written communication and presentation skills to effectively communicate at all levels in the organization.

Prior experience as a business analyst or business systems analyst very helpful.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

Anticipated Starting Pay Range
$115,600$158,950 USD
