THE OPPORTUNITY

The Analyst works side-by-side with our hospital clients to improve the hospital’s Revenue Cycle performance in key initiatives in the following areas relating to Patient Financial Services and Patient Access: charge capture, pre-billing, billing, follow-up, cash posting, account resolution, admitting, financial counseling, scheduling, and financial clearance. The Analyst partners with the revenue cycle teams to serve as the day-to-day point of contact for driving HealthRise initiatives in each department. This position requires traveling to the client site Monday through Thursday. Throughout Covid-19 we have been in close communication and alignment with our partners regarding travel, and many of our roles are currently remote, but may/will require travel in the future.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide consulting services to partners in one or more areas of the healthcare revenue cycle, which includes:

  • Redesign existing processes for efficiencies and yield improvement

  • Drive HealthRise initiatives at partner sites

  • Provide proactive and timely communication on deliverables

  • Analyze operational metrics/reports to identify operational issues

  • Identify process improvement and operational optimization opportunities

  • Communicate progress towards project-specific goals and deliverables

CANDIDATE PROFILE

The Analyst has a bachelor’s degree, zero to three years’ experience in management consulting, and should have an interest in the healthcare industry. They will be able to quickly learn the scope of the healthcare revenue cycle. They must possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will be able to establish credibility and rapport quickly with a broad set of partners and internal team members.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in healthcare administration, finance, engineering, or business administration
  • Zero to three years of experience in revenue cycle operations or consulting
  • Excellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, meticulous, and accurate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with other team members and partners
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
