Emily Huizenga

Emily Huizenga has a diverse work experience that spans various roles and industries. Emily started their career in 2012 as an Administrative Intern at HOPE Community Center, followed by an internship at Doulas Care. In 2013, they worked as a Program Development Intern at Lenawee County Health Department. Emily then joined Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan in 2014 as a Hospital Incentive Programs Intern. Since 2015, Emily has been working at Healthrise in various capacities. Emily started as a Senior Analyst and progressed to Manager, Senior Manager, Director, and finally Senior Director. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Business Operations Strategy at Healthrise.

Emily Huizenga earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) with Distinction in Women's Studies from the University of Michigan in 2012. Afterward, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Health Management and Policy at the same university, from 2013 to 2015.
