Michael Stokes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career at the Department of Social Services (DSS) in 1998 as an HTML Developer, responsible for developing intranet web content. Michael then worked at American Express from 2007 to 2015, first as a Project Analyst leading technical projects for the Global Partner Infrastructure organization and later as a .NET Developer working with SQL Server. In 2015, they joined The Center for Leadership Studies as a Senior Development Engineer, where they were involved in various tasks such as project management, software development, infrastructure planning, networking security, and Office 365 administration. After that, they worked at First Citizens Bank as a .NET Developer, where they designed and built a custom .NET application and provided operational support. Currently, they are a Senior Programmer Analyst at HealthSmart.
Michael Stokes attended Central Piedmont Community College from 2000 to 2003, where they studied Computer Science. From 2003 to 2004, they furthered their education at North Carolina State University, focusing on Psychology. In 2014, they obtained several certifications, including MTA Software Development and Microsoft Certified Professional, from institutions such as Microsoft and American Express.
