Nicola Onassis has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Nicola began their career in 1998 as a Self Employed Web Consultant for Project Y LLC. In 2003, they took on a Senior Software Engineer role at Oakwood Worldwide, where they worked on eOakwood and rearchitected Octis. In 2005, they joined Yahoo! as a Software Engineer and worked on the localization team to launch 3 international websites, as well as re-designing the web radio and messenger radio players. In 2006, they became a Manager and Project Architect at PluggedIn Corp, where they helped build Xdrive and MySpace. In 2009, they became the Owner Co-Founder of Code Particle Inc. In 2012, they were the CTO of Symptify, where they helped architect the AI implementation, database, and cloud infrastructure. In 2019, they became the Chief Technology Officer of HealthSnap, where they worked to translate lifestyle health data from disparate sources. Finally, in 2021, they became the Co-Founder and CEO of Rebus Chain.

Nicola Onassis has been a self-learner since 1974, focusing on music, design, and technology. In December 2020, they obtained the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp, and in March 2019, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
