Additionally, Carmen served as an Assistant Program Director at Minnesota Youth Institute in October 2015, and was a Supervisor/Server at New Hope Cinema Grill from August 2012 to July 2014.

Carmen Ritchie has a Bachelor's degree in Sustainable Studies, Nutrition, Holistic Health, and Healing from the University of Minnesota. Carmen attended the University from 2014 to 2017. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from North Hennepin Community College, where they studied from 2013 to 2015. Additionally, Carmen has obtained several certifications, including "Building Better Relationships through Listening and Validation," "The Six Skills of Proactive Professionals," "What Is Program Management?" from LinkedIn, and "Cultural Competence in the Workplace 2023," "Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion in the Workplace V4 2023," "Microaggressions in the Workplace 2023," and "Unconscious Bias 2023" from Traliant.
