David Bedford

David Bedford is an accomplished professional in the biosciences field with a diverse background in pharmacology and immunology. As Associate Director at Healx, David previously held significant roles including Principal Scientist at Mission Therapeutics, where expertise in immunology and fibrosis was developed. Notably, at Takeda, David served as Therapeutic Area Lead for the UK Cardiovascular and Metabolic Disease drug discovery unit and Group Leader in the same area. Early in the career, David contributed as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and as a Scientific Officer at the Institute of Cancer Research. David holds a Ph.D. in Medicine (Clinical Studies) from UCL and a BSc (Hons) in Molecular Biology from the University of Portsmouth.
