Marjan van der Weijden

Marjan van der Weijden is a seasoned financial services leader with extensive experience in credit ratings and structured finance. Currently serving as the Global Group Head for Financial Institutions at Fitch Ratings since September 2009, Marjan is responsible for overseeing the rating process and analytical research for banks, insurance companies, and non-bank financial institutions. Previous roles at Fitch include Global Head of Structured Finance & Covered Bonds and Head of European Structured Finance, managing teams across multiple European cities. Marjan also holds the position of Managing Director at HearstLab and contributes to evaluating investments in early-stage, women-led startups. Marjan's career began at Rabobank, where various roles included Associate in the Securitisation Team and Corporate Banking. Marjan earned a Master's degree in Economics from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
