Forrest Powell

Forrest Powell is an accomplished musician and educator with extensive experience in teaching and performing. Currently serving as a Lecturer at California State University-San Bernardino and a Trumpet Teacher for OAKWOOD BRASS - OUTREACH PROJECT, Forrest also instructs Brass and Jazz ensembles at the Heart of Los Angeles (HOLA). A freelance musician since 2003, Forrest has performed and recorded with numerous prestigious groups in commercial, musical theater, orchestra, and chamber settings, including Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons and Transcendence Theater Company. Additional positions include Lead Trumpet for various national and international tours, Program Director for Sacramento Mandarins, and Director of Bands for M.U.S.E. Forrest holds multiple degrees in Trumpet Performance from California State University, Northridge, and the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music.
