Joseph Hughes

Joseph Hughes serves as a B Team Sports Scientist, Under 19’s Sports Scientist, and Lead Academy Sports Scientist for Heart of Midlothian FC since February 2023. Prior experience includes working as a First Team Sports Scientist and Academy Sports Scientist at Partick Thistle Football Club, where responsibilities involved data analysis, performance coaching, and player conditioning. Joseph has also held the position of Fitness Coach and Team Leader at Village Hotels, emphasizing customer service and client health goals. Educational qualifications comprise a Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science and Medicine from the University of Glasgow, a Bachelor of Science in Sports and Exercise Science from the University of the West of Scotland, and a Higher National Diploma in Fitness, Health and Exercise from North East Scotland College.
