Christen J.

Christen J. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Currently, they are serving as the Director of Medical Education and Research and a Family Medicine Physician at Heart of Ohio Family Health. Christen is also an Adjunct Professor at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. In addition, Christen is the owner of CJMD, LLC, a business they founded in 2020. Previously, they worked as a Resident Family Medicine Physician at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center from 2017 to 2020. Christen has also held leadership positions in the Student National Medical Association and worked as a Student Experience Blogger at Merck Medical. Christen has experience as a Specialized Learning Tutor at Wright State University and served as a Greene County College Guide through AmeriCorps. Christen's career began as a Tour Guide at Wright State University, where they conducted campus tours and addressed questions from prospective students and their parents.

Christen J. has an extensive education history. In 2011, Christen completed an Internship at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, with a focus on SMDEP. In 2012, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biology/Biological Sciences from Wright State University. Following this, they pursued further education at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine, where they obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in 2017. During the same period, Christen completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.

Continuing their academic journey, Christen enrolled at Antioch University in 2021, pursuing a Doctor of Education - EdD degree in Antiracist and Multicultural Education, which is expected to be completed in 2023. They also obtained a Health Equity Fellowship from the American Academy of Family Physicians in 2021.

In terms of additional certifications, Christen acquired a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in the Workplace Certificate from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education in May 2021.
