Gary Montague has held various roles in the medical and emergency services industry since 1998. Gary began their career as an HM3 (FMF) Corpsman with the US Navy in 1998. In 2007, they joined Centura Health as an Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant. In this role, they assessed and treated acute and chronic medical conditions, as well as performed emergency life saving procedures. Gary also worked as a consultant with Safety One Training International Inc. from 2009 to 2013, providing classroom and field instruction on hypothermia, frostbite, winter shelters, fire starting, survival gear, and more. From 2013 to 2016, they served as a Senior Medical Officer with the Central Intelligence Agency. In 2016, they founded HeartHero, Inc. and served as both Executive Chair and CEO.
Gary Montague received their Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Excelsior University in 2012. Gary then attended Red Rocks Community College from 2005 to 2007, where they completed a Physician Assistant Program. After that, they earned their Master of Science (M.S.) in Medicine from Saint Francis University in 2013. Additionally, they have obtained a certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) for EM - CAQ.
