Matt Cross

Matt Cross has over 10 years of work experience in the technology field. Matt started their career at Ticomix, Inc. in 2011 as a Network Engineer and later became a Senior Datacenter Engineer. In 2017, they moved to Heartland Business Systems, where they worked in various roles such as Consulting Engineer, Technical Architect, Engineering Services Manager, and Regional Engineering Manager. Currently, they serve as the Director of Engineering - East - Enterprise Solutions at Heartland Business Systems since 2023.

Matt Cross began their education in 2011 at Rock Valley College, where they pursued an Associate's degree in Cisco Networking. Matt attended the college until 2014. After that, in 2014, they enrolled in Western Governors University and graduated in 2015 with a Bachelor of IT Network Administration degree, specializing in Cisco Networking.

In terms of certifications, Matt obtained their first certification, the Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP), in April 2010. Matt continued to expand their certifications over the years and obtained the Cisco Certified Network Professional - Data Center (CCNP-DC) in July 2014 and the Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) and Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications in August and July 2014 respectively. In May 2013, they obtained the VMware Certified Professional (VCP) certification. Matt went on to acquire additional certifications from various institutions such as Aruba, Microsoft, and Cisco, including the Cisco Certified Network Associate Wireless (CCNA-W) in June 2018, Cisco Certified Infrastructure Expert Security (CCIE SEC) in September 2018, and Cisco Certified Infrastructure Expert Route Switch (CCIE RS) in October 2016. Most recently, in June 2019, they obtained the Aruba Certified Design Professional V1 (ACDP) and Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) certifications. Additionally, in May 2012, they attained the Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) certification and the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
