Jessica Pickel

Jessica Pickel currently serves as the Dean of Students at Heartland Community College since October 2023. Prior to this role, Jessica held the position of Dean of Liberal Arts at Richland Community College from August 2018 to October 2023. Previous experience includes serving as the Assistant to the Dean at the University of Illinois Springfield and Director of Adult Education at Richland Community College, among other roles in higher education. Jessica's educational background includes a Doctor of Education in Community College Leadership from Northern Illinois University and an Ed.M. in Educational Organization and Leadership from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication and Rhetoric. Additionally, Jessica has a post-graduate certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Illinois Springfield.
