Calvin Carson

Calvin Carson has a strong background in the financial industry with extensive experience in commercial card payments and B2B payments. Calvin is currently serving as the SVP, National Sales Leader, and Commercial Card Payments at HTLF since August 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Vice President in Commercial Card Payments at HTLF from February to August 2021.

Before joining HTLF, Calvin worked at Capital One as the Vice President of B2B Payments from October 2017 to February 2021. Calvin'sresponsibilities in this role focused on managing B2B payment operations.

From August 2014 to October 2017, Calvin served as the Director of Global Credit/Collections at American Express. During this time, they successfully transformed the U.S. Consumer Credit division into a high-performing network.

Additionally, Calvin worked at American Express OPEN from April 2013 to September 2014 as a Senior Manager, responsible for acquiring new small business clients. Calvin also served as a Business Consultant from September 2011 to April 2013, where they focused on generating revenue through sales and acquisition of new small business accounts.

Calvin began their career at American Express in January 2009 in Credit Operations, where they handled corporate and small business debt collections. Calvin developed creative solutions to assist clients during times of economic hardship.

Calvin Carson attended Glendale Community College from 1989 to 1991, studying business, management, marketing, and related support services. Calvin then went on to study underwriting and insurance lic at Rio Salado College from 2003 to 2004.
