Shawna Huston

Prior to joining Heartland, Dr. Huston practiced as a small and exotic animal veterinarian for over a decade. During that time, she started her career as an Associate Veterinarian and became a Medical Director with VCA Animal Hospitals. She has led her hospitals to financial growth and development, and as an Area Medical Director, she also focused on multisite leadership by training and developing other leaders in her region. She was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from Iowa State Veterinary Medical School. Dr. Shawna holds a board position with Penny Fix, a non-profit organization that provides free spay/neuter services throughout the country.
