Dan Bishop has extensive experience in various leadership roles across multiple industries. Currently serving as a Volunteer on the Development Advisory Board at HeartMath Institute since December 1992, Dan has previously owned and operated La Cienega Travel, specializing in executive travel and conferences. Prior positions include Senior Vice President at Packard Bell Electronics, President of the National Family Business Association, and Vice President of Operations at Truflex Pang. Dan also founded Bishop Small & Associates Advertising, an advertising agency. Dan's career began with a photography hobby and includes a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA, complemented by foundational education at McBurney High School in New York City.

The mission of HeartMath Institute (HMI) is to help establish heart-based living and global coherence by inspiring people to connect with the intelligence and guidance of their own hearts. HMI is an internationally recognized nonprofit 501(c)3 research and education organization dedicated to helping people reduce stress, self-regulate emotions and build energy and resilience for healthy, happy lives. HMI conducts innovative research in stress, coherence, heart-brain interactions and the physiology of emotions and optimal performance.
