Hayley Cowitt

Hayley Cowitt serves as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer at HeartShare Human Services of New York, positions held since June 2016. Previously, Cowitt was a Special Assistant to the President and CEO at the same organization. Prior experience includes serving as an Elder Law Fellow at the New York Legal Assistance Group, focusing on public health insurance issues and home care advocacy. Additional internships at firms such as Edward C. Greenberg LLC and CHANEL involved legal research, drafting documents, and monitoring copyright infringement. Cowitt's legal journey began with roles in various legal offices, including the Office of the Attorney General of the State of New York and the New York County District Attorney's Office. Cowitt holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.
