Paloma Aguilar Gilks

Paloma Aguilar Gilks has a diverse work experience in the communication and public relations field. Paloma is currently working at Heathrow as the Head of Communications Strategy, a position they assumed in April 2022. Prior to this, Paloma served as the Communications Strategy Lead at Heathrow from June 2020 to April 2022. Before joining Heathrow, they were the Deputy Head of PR and Filming at an unspecified company from June 2019 to June 2020.

Paloma also has experience in government roles. Paloma worked as a Press Secretary at the Office of the Hon. Peter MacKay, Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada from July 2013 to July 2014, as well as from November 2012 to July 2013. Paloma also served as a Legislative Assistant at the Office of Ted Opitz, Member of Parliament Etobicoke Centre from November 2011 to November 2012.

Paloma's early work experience includes internships and assistant roles. Paloma was a Programme Development Intern at the United Nations Association, United Kingdom from March 2011 to August 2011. Paloma also served as a Constituency Assistant at the Office of Ron Cannan, Member of Parliament for Kelowna Lake-Country from May 2008 to May 2010, and as a Constituency Assistant at the Office of Sindi Hawkins, Member of Legislative Assembly of British Columbia from May 2007 to August 2007.

Paloma Aguilar Gilks completed their Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree from Queen's University, specializing in Political Studies and Global Development Studies, from 2006 to 2010. Paloma then pursued a Masters degree in International Public Policy at UCL from 2010 to 2011.
