Baoyao Tang

Baoyao Tang has over 18 years of work experience in the mining industry. Baoyao is currently employed as the Chief Mine Engineer at Hecla Mining Company since April 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Pretivm Resources as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer from August 2019 to April 2022. Before that, they were a Principal Mining Engineer at AMC Consultants from January 2019 to June 2019. Between 2012 and 2018, they held multiple roles at Cameco Corporation, including Technical Superintendent and Chief Mine Engineer. From 2010 to 2012, they worked as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at BHP Billiton. Earlier in their career, from 2004 to 2010, they were a Senior Mine Engineer and Senior Ground Control Engineer at Cameco Corporation.

Baoyao Tang earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Mining and Mineral Engineering from McGill University, which was completed from 1997 to 2000.
