Nana Essilfie-Conduah has worked in various software engineering roles since 2011. In 2010, they were a Researcher/Developer at MIT's Terrestrial Artificial Lunar And Reduced GravIty Simulator (TALARIS). In 2011, they worked as an Associate Analyst Programmer/Consultant and Junior Analyst Programmer/Consultant at Tessella. In 2009, they were a Test Engineer Intern at Pegasystems. In 2007, they were a Java Developer at MIT Information Systems & Technology. In 2010, they were a Graduate Recruitment Program Project Manager Intern at Raytheon Systems Limited. From 2013 to 2019, they were a Software Engineer II and then a Senior Software Engineer at Microsoft. Since 2019, they have been a Senior Software Engineer at Hedera Hashgraph, where they are responsible for architecting and developing product code that utilizes the Hashgraph consensus mechanism. Since 2022, they have been a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Swirlds Labs, where they are responsible for architecting and engineering open source solutions that ensure the growth of the Hedera Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) ecosystem.

Nana Essilfie-Conduah has an extensive educational background. From 2003 to 2007, they attended SOS. From 2007 to 2011, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, where they earned a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering. Nana then returned to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2017 to 2019, where they earned an M.S. in Engineering Management with a focus in Systems Engineering. Additionally, they have obtained four edX Verified Certificates in Analyzing and Visualizing Data with Power BI, Data Science Orientation, Introduction to Python for Data Science, and Querying with Transact-SQL.
