Emma

Business Development at Hedvig

Emma is currently a Business Development at Hedvig. Prior to that, they were a Student Developer at Chapter 5 from September 2021 to August 2022, where they were introduced to microservices in the .NET framework and containerised applications. One of their projects was to implement a monitoring tool across all existing microservices, handling its deployment and release, and setting up an alert mechanism via e-mail and MS Teams. Currently, they are working on developing an automated UI testing framework for a WinForms application.

Before Chapter 5, Emma worked as a Data Scientist at PFA from June 2019 to December 2020. There, they created machine learning models predicting customer behaviour by using their knowledge from economics and data science. Emma also created software to monitor and update a department's document portfolio, and software to evaluate and monitor all machine learning models created in house. Emma learned the importance of writing self-explanatory and testable code, deployment pipelines, how to be part of a larger, agile team, and how to cooperate with clients in order to specify and implement their needs.

Emma's first job was as a Research Study Assistant at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from September 2017 to January 2019.

Emma studied computer science and economics at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, and mathematics and physics at Solrød Gymnasium.
