Kristin Decker

Kristin Decker is an Associate Director of Pharmacology and Toxicology at Heidelberg Pharma Research GmbH, where responsibilities include leadership as the Group Leader in in vivo Biology since February 2020. Prior to this role, Kristin served as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center from February 2015 to February 2020, focusing on the analysis of dormant disseminated breast cancer cells to identify therapeutic vulnerabilities, and also worked as a PhD student researching the functional and molecular characterization of these cells. Additional experience includes a research position at HI-STEM gGmbH and a Sales and Marketing Associate role at Sciomics, where responsibilities centered on customer acquisition and conference representation. Educational qualifications consist of a PhD in Bioscience from the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, a Master of Science in Molecular Biosciences with a major in Cancer Biology from Heidelberg University, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Bayreuth.
